Marine Aquaculture

The reservoir and the dyke are used for Marine Aquaculture, i.e. cultivation of lobsters, mussels, oysters and sea vegetables. The reservoir offers a protected (by the dyke) marine environment, the water inlet/outlet allows for the necessary refreshment of the water (supply of nutrients) in the reservoir, and the generated electricity is used for the Marine Aquaculture operations.
